Techmedics Client Lifecycle Phases

Stage 1 - Onboarding and Documentation

The first step is the on-boarding process, in which our team comes to your location to install all the software tools that we’ll need to ensure your network and technology stay running with maximum uptime and reliability.

Once our tools have been installed and configured for your network, we can start the documentation process. Documentation begins with a thorough network audit, in which we inspect every aspect of your company network and create a record of the systems, devices, and software you’re using. This includes recording every bit of relevant information possible, like the age, serial numbers, firmware versions, and more. The result is a high-level overview of your network, which will help guide our subsequent work.

The onboarding process is one of the most critical phases. Among other things, it allows our engineers to assess the environment and develop a plan of action for how to best support your users. The better we understand your environment, the better our team will be able to respond to your needs.

Chronic IT problems often originate from a fundamental misconfiguration or incompatibility between two parts of your network. Having a detailed map of all your network resources is crucial to locating and fixing those problems. It also helps us locate cybersecurity vulnerabilities you might not be aware of yet.

Other important elements in the onboarding and documentation phase:

  • Designating authorized contacts for secure communication between your organization and Techmedics.
  • Documenting IT vendor data for asset management processes.
  • Tracking the warranty and licensing information for all network devices and software.
  • Planning for system updates, patching, and firmware upgrades.

Stage 2 - Stabilizing the Environment

After we have a thorough understanding of your network, we can start to resolve IT problems and smooth out any processes in your business that are being hindered by poorly functioning technology.

We measure the success of the stabilization phase with key performance indicators, such as the number of tickets opened weekly and the average time to resolution for each issue. The stabilization phase gradually becomes more proactive as time passes, meaning that as chronic problems are resolved, we shift our focus toward identifying and solving new problems before they harm productivity.

Stage 2 includes:

  • Proactive network health monitoring and maintenance.
  • Helpdesk support to quickly resolve IT issues.

Stage 3 - Building Better Technology

Once your network is optimized for reliability, it’s time to start the work of better aligning your technology with your business goals. This ongoing, consultative process involves one of our virtual chief information officers (vCIOs) sitting down with your executive team, listening to their plans and concerns, then creating a strategic technology roadmap that helps them get where they want to be.

Stage 4 - Optimize
