Windows 11 will introduce an array of new features in 2024. These features are still currently in development so it's important to share feedback on your experience with Microsoft via the Feedback Hub. Here's what Windows 11 users can look forward to in 2024:
- Notepad with AI - This new feature is named "CoWriter" and brings artificial intelligence to the text editors, offering a wide range of smart editing tools including context awareness and a high level of customization for options like "Length", "Tone", and "Format".
- USB 80Gbps - This update doubles the performance from the standard 40 Gbps to 80Gbps, paving the way for high-performance displays, storage, and other connectivity options.
- Copilot autostarts in Windows 11 - This feature is still in it's testing phase, and may not be available to all users, depending on the size of their displays. This feature will allow for Copilot to open automatically on widescreen devices on startup. As many will likely not want to enable this feature, Microsoft has made it possible to disable it by going to Settings > Personalization > Copilot.
- Lock screens with weather updates - A richer, interactive weather experience is coming to the lock screen, allowing users to quickly check the weather even if their screen is locked. This feature has already begun rolling out to users.
- Voice access enhancements - This feature has significantly improved this year, including extended language support for French, German, and Spanish and multi-display functionality.
We're excited for these updates and are looking forward to more updates from Microsoft throughout the year. To get a full list of the new feature in Windows 11, check out the original article by Bleeping Computer.
